Looking for a career in avionics? We are currently hiring for the following position (no recruiters please):


Configuration Management Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Documentation control
  • Maintain consistency and accuracy between drawings and Bills of Material
  • Maintain and act as the system administrator for the electronic document control system
  • Coordination of Bills of Material
  • Review / Track Engineering Change Notice and Deviations
  • Maintain and monitor turnaround times for ECN's, Deviations, Build Packages
  • Perform CM status accounting
  • Process and track incoming Change Requests and Trouble Reports
  • Review and edit documents and perform technical writing
  • Update and maintain CMDM processes and procedures
  • Participate in Configuration Control Board (CCB) activities
  • Participate in Configuration Audits

Required Skills, Education, & Experience:

  • BS/BA degree in Engineering with a minimum of 4 years related experience
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Experience and understanding of configuration management including product structure, product assembly, Hardware, Software and Firmware components
  • Working knowledge and experience with Material Control Systems
  • Conscientious, dependable self-starter
  • Experience with Microsoft programs (Office, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Good interpersonal skills, excellent communications and organization skills
  • Knowledge of traditional engineering phases and functions

Preferred Skills, Education, & Experience:

  • Experience with product tracking in an electronic device manufacturing environment a plus
  • Certification in Configuration Management
  • Member of The Association for Configuration and Data Management
  • Experience with ISO or any quality standards
  • Have performed functions in CM, particularly SW CM
  • Have planned CM and/or developed CM processes


Repair Technician 2

Position Requirements:

  • Bench level electronics. Must have electronic and mechanical troubleshooting abilities. Must have good technical, analytical and communication skills. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair using technical data. Will work with limited supervision and an ability to solder is a plus.
  • AS degree or technical vocational degree/certificate in such topics as, but not limited to, electronic engineering and avionics, or the equivalent applicable experience.
  • A minimum of 18 months experience as a bench level electronics or avionics technician.
  • Electronic and mechanical troubleshooting abilities, using documentation such as component maintenance manuals, prints, schematic diagrams etc.
  • Must have a good working knowledge of aircraft instrument and accessory systems, and have excellent workmanship skills. Ability to function as a technician 1 or higher, on products not previously trained on.
  • Must have good technical, analytical, and communication skills. Under limited supervision, be able to troubleshoot and repair a variety of instruments.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical data relating to the work being performed.
  • Ability to perform non-repetitive type units and tasks.
  • Knowledge of appropriate electro-static discharge (ESD) safety precautions.
  • Must have abilities in electronic component removal and replacement using appropriate soldering type skills.
  • Must also have good time management skills.
  • Willing to learn Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) i.e. FAR-1,21,43,65,121,135,145 etc,


Principal Avionics Hardware Engineer

Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • BS/BA in electrical engineering with 15+ years of circuit design experience. Use of OrCAD for schematic capture and layout desirable. Experience with avionics highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of coding in C and Assembler for embedded software systems
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms (detection, estimation, modulation) & their implementation
  • Experience with a structured engineering development & test environment; e.g., RTCA/DO-254 and DO-160E (designing to DO-160 category standards highly desirable)
  • At least 7 years experience in supervising and mentoring hardware engineers
  • Adept with laboratory engineering tools; e.g., signal generators, spectrum analyzers, & data-loggers
  • Experience with System Safety Assessments (SSAs) highly desirable
  • Good English language skills, both oral and written

Position Duties: The Principal Avionics Hardware Engineer is expected to split his or her time between management duties and hardware engineering functions. Duties include:

  • Manage the hardware engineering group and coordinate activities with other managers
  • Participate in drafting of DO-254 documents and in mandated reviews
  • Participate in requirements analysis and circuit design & layout activities; manage environmental test activities
  • Maintain development & test capabilities of engineering lab
  • Maintain the Hardware Problem Report (HPR) database and ensure timely disposition of HPRs

Principal Avionics Software Engineer

Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • At least a BS/BA in science or engineering with 15+ years of work experience (avionics desirable; navigational highly desirable)
  • Thorough knowledge of coding in C and Assembler for embedded software systems
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms (detection, estimation, modulation)
  • Experience working in a structured engineering environment; RTCA/DO-178B
  • At least 7 years experience in supervising and mentoring software engineers
  • Adept with software engineering tools for requirements traceability and code coverage
  • Good English language skills, both oral and written

Position Duties: The Principal Avionics Software Engineer is expected to split his or her time between management duties and software engineering functions. Duties include:

  • Manage the software engineering group and coordinate activities with other managers
  • Participate in drafting DO-178B documents (e.g., PSAC, SRD, SDD, STP, SVP, SCI, & SAS)
  • Participate in code development, and in tool development & qualification
  • Participate in reviews mandated by DO-178B and in FAA-based SOI meetings
  • Maintain the Software Problem Report (SPR) database and ensure timely disposition of SPRs

Software Engineer 1

Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • At least a BS/BA in science or engineering. Knowledge of avionics desirable
  • Experience coding in C and Assembler for embedded software systems
  • Sufficient EE hardware knowledge to carry out tests in an embedded software environment
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms (detection, estimation, modulation)
  • Willing to work in a structured engineering environment in accordance with published standards
  • Attention to detail sufficient for drafting & reviewing documentation for FAA submittal
  • Good English language skills, both oral and written

Position Duties: The duties of a Software Engineer - 1 include:

  • Create code based on high & low-level software requirements
  • Draft documents necessary for satisfaction of FAA requirements
  • Test software at the module level and once embedded in working hardware
  • Participate in reviews mandated by the structured engineering process
  • Participate in the development & qualification of software engineering tools for data-logging
  • Support Sales & Marketing activities; respond to technical customer queries (Sales Engineering)

Software Engineer 3

Position Requirements: The successful candidate will have the following background:

  • MS/MA in science/engineering, or BS/BA + 3 years experience. Knowledge of avionics desirable.
  • Experience coding in C and Assembler for embedded software systems
  • Sufficient EE hardware knowledge to carry out tests in an embedded software environment
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing algorithms (detection, estimation, modulation)
  • Willing to work in a structured engineering environment in accordance with published standards
  • Attention to detail sufficient for drafting & reviewing documentation for FAA submittal
  • Good English language skills, both oral and written

Position Duties: The duties of a Software Engineer - 3 include:

  • Creation of low-level software requirements from high level requirements
  • Create code based on requirements and standard algorithms
  • Draft documents necessary for satisfaction of FAA requirements
  • Test software at the module level and once embedded in working hardware
  • Participate in reviews mandated by the structured engineering process
  • Participate in the development & qualification of software engineering tools for data-logging
